Whilst that is not strictly true, my new X a Talons have arrived now that I’ve finally stirred out the sizing….a UK 8.5 is the final solution. I am slightly nervous still though because my previous two pairs of 190s have been wonderful shoes to run in. These new ones will hopefully have resolved the splitting sides flaw but there are a few other subtle changes such as a higher Achilles pad at the rear which may be enough to annoy me. Time will tell.
despite the fact that wind have had no crisp mornings this year, today was the soggy equivalent, a nice fresh morning to put in a good quality 10 k hill session in Aspley Woods. Every path is under water at the moment however once in the sand hills the going got better and even with the temperature dropping this morning and the sleet starting as I headed home it was a great run.
