1 mile uphill rep, Cassiobury Park

I took 8 students from 06592A into the park for their 1 mile test this morning in a rare outing for my Inov 8 X 233s.  After a downhill 12:20 warm up from the top of the park to the Grand a Union Canal, we turned for the individual effort 1 mile return trip.  Shebe, Tom and Lorenzo led the charge and Ben and I followed although for the first half mile I wasn’t sure that I could keep with Ben.  Shebe and Tom continued to pull away with Shebe producing the 3rd best college time ever in 5:43, just 14 seconds off Tom Alder’s college record of 5:29.  Tom came in on 5:57 to move into a top 7 place and I caught and held off Lorenzo finishing in 6:26 and 6:29.  Again, despite the cold air, I ran quite well.
