A thoroughly enjoyable two days in Snowdonia with former colleagues Denis and Martyn. First up was a rather windy dash up Snowdon with Denis…up on the miner’s track and back down on the pig track.
After a hearty meal and, in my case, a bottle of red wine, we set off the following morning for Tryfan. The weather had deteriorated significantly and it was very chilly between the hail storms despite being leeward. We shared the climb with a number of other groups but from the north we then headed to the west side to climb up the first gulley. One cold, wet climb later and we were back onto the final approach from the north. A chilly summit photo was followed by a careful descent in the snow.
After a quick brew stop, we headed down into Cwm Tryfan and then east over Y Foel Goch and Cefyn y Capel and down into Capel Curig for a well earned hot cup of coffee!
